How to book a marina berth?

Book your marina berth following these easy steps:

  1. Choose which marina to visit
  2. If asked, choose book to pre-book and pay if you already arrived
  3. Choose a berth and the duration of your stay
  4. Choose extras such as cancellation insurance and electricity
  5. Pay through our secure payment gateway

Once the reservation and payment are completed you will receive a confirmation email. It helps you to remember your reservation and to find your berth upon arrival. You can view your upcoming bookings on the My bookings-page at any time.

Can I book with arrival today?

Yes, you can book up until 10:00 AM local marina time with arrival the same day. If your arrival is not today you’re free to place your booking at any hour, day or night. Unbooked berths are handled by the marina and are used as drop-in berths.

Can I pay on arrival?

Several marinas offer payment through Dockspot. In order to pay for a berth you’re already arrived at please visit the marina’s page on and choose "Pay". From there you can pay just as you would with a booking, independently of what time it is. Remember that you must have already arrived at the berth you’re paying for before paying.

How do I know that my boat fits the berth?

When you register for the first time you’re asked to enter your boat’s measurements. From then on you will only be offered spots that suit your boat. If you change boat, it’s easy to update the boat measurements during booking or from the "My profile"-page.

What happens if my payment doesn’t go through?

When you click Proceed to payment, the system automatically reserves your chosen berth and waits for a signal that the payment is successful. If the payment does not go through, the berth will be made available to other guests after 30 minutes. If you experience difficulties while paying for your berth please check that your card is valid for online purchases. You might need an authenticate against your bank, or you might need to enable your card for foreign charges. If you are still experiencing problems please contact our support!

When do I need to checkout from my berth?

Checkout must be completed by 12:00 PM (noon in, local marina time) or sooner. Please speak to the harbour master if you need to stay longer. They can help you find another berth.

What time can I arrive?

Whenever you want after 12:00 PM (noon in, local marina time). Remember that you’re required to contact the marina if you think that you will be arriving later than 6 PM. You can find the marina’s contact details in the booking confirmation email and on the My bookings-page.

How do I cancel my booking?

When booking, you’ve offered the option to purchase cancellation insurance. With cancellation insurance you can cancel your booking if the cancellation is be made before 12 PM (noon in, local marina time) the day before arrival or in other words, 24h before earliest check-in. With cancellation insurance it’s easy to cancel the booking at My bookings.

Can arrival date be changed?

If you’ve opted to purchase cancellation insurance you can change the arrival date up to 24 hours prior to check-in. When you change the arrival date, all days in the booking are moved to match, or in other words the booking doesn’t change length. Changing arrival requires that there are available berths within the same price list compatible with your boat on the new date(s). If your current berth is not available during the new dates you will be asked to choose to you accept one or several other berths. The new dates must be within the marina’s current opening period, in most cases this means that a booking can’t be re-booked to the next season. With cancellation insurance it’s easy to change arrival date at My bookings.

Can I change the length of my booking?

If you’ve opted to purchase cancellation insurance you can cancel individual nights up to 24 hours prior to check-in. You can cancel from the start and from the end of the booking, or in other words, all remaining nights must be consecutive. With cancellation insurance it’s easy to cancel individual nights at My bookings.

Can I change berth?

If you’ve opted to purchase cancellation insurance you can change berth up to 24 hours prior to check-in. You can choose any available spot within the same price list that fits your boat. With cancellation insurance it’s easy to change berth at My bookings.

Can I change to another marina?

Unfortunately a booking can’t be moved from one marina to another. If you’ve purchased cancellation insurance you can cancel the booking and and make a new booking at a Dockspot-marina of your choice.

Is there a Dockspot app?

We’ve designed Dockspot to work great on your mobile phone browser, on both Android, iOS and iPadOS. If you encounter any problems on your device please let us know!

Why do I need to sign up?

You need to register some details such as boat measurements and contact information in order for the marina to safely serve you during your stay. By saving these details it’s easier to make new bookings without needing to re-enter them every time. A Dockspot-account also allows you to view your booking details and if you’ve chosen to purchase cancellation insurance, make changes or cancel the booking. We take our Privacy policy very seriously and we will never share your personal information with anyone but the marina where you’re staying. You can request to be forgotten at any point.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Yes, if you’ve purchased the cancellation insurance and you make the changes 24 for hours before arrival. To make changes visit My bookings.

How close to arrival can I make changes to my booking?

If you’ve purchased cancelation insurance you can cancel or make changes to your booking up to 24 hours before earliest arrival. Or in other words, before 12 PM noon in the marina’s local time zone the day before arrival.
