Description
Sandhamn
The guest harbor in Sandhamn consists of three floating docks with approximately 120 guest berths located in front of the classic “Seglarhotellet” (the Sailors’ hotel). Of these, 20 berths on Dock A can be pre-booked via Dockspot. The harbor is open from May until the last weekend of October. You can reach Sandhamn via the lighted channel north of Sandön. Boats with shallow drafts may also use the marked route between Telegrafholmen and Lökholmen (depth 1.5 m).
For berth reservations for boats over 50 feet, please contact the harbor master at sandhamn@ksss.se.
Services in Sandhamn
From May, when the guest harbor opens, electricity and water are available on the docks. Additionally, a larger service building with showers, toilets, and a laundry room is located just east of Dock C. Laundry time can be booked with KSSS harbor staff. Next to Dock C, you will find Sandhamn's marina fuel station, offering fuel, propane, ropes, and boat maintenance tools. During the pre-season in April, the service buildings remain closed, but electricity is always available on Dock B. A harbor fee is required year-round, 24/7.
Things to See & Do
Sandhamn is an island with a fascinating history, located at the outer edge of the Stockholm Archipelago. Despite its remote location, it is a vibrant destination both on land and at sea. With its rocky shores and white beaches, the island offers a picturesque setting. There is plenty to explore on and around the island, from restaurants, bars, and shops to exciting activities. Adventurers can try kitesurfing or rent a kayak to explore the archipelago from the water. If relaxation is your goal, the Seglarhotellet spa provides a tranquil retreat. For more recommendations, feel free to ask the KSSS harbor staff!
