Vaxholm is often called the capital of the Stockholm archipelago. Vaxholm is actually a collection of 70 islands and the large green peninsula of Bogesundslandet, a nature reserve. On Vaxön island is the town of Vaxholm itself – best discovered on foot or by boat. Delightful villas, charming little boutiques, restaurants, cafes and quaint little arts and crafts galleries. And everything is close to the water. If you want, you can take a dip in the sea right in the middle of town.
