Slite Gästhamn

Slite Gästhamn is at the center of a fascinating era of history. In the 17th century, Slite became the headquarters of the lime industry, and a shipyard was built to facilitate transport and trade with surrounding cities and townships. Slite eventually surpassed Visby in influence, becoming a major center  for commerce. Carlsvärd fortress was also built during this time. Today, visitors can rent a bike or car in town to visit this and other major historical attractions in the area. The beach, tennis courts, golf course, and restaurant by the harbor are also big draws for our guests and offer something to do for the whole family.
