In the 17th century, Slite became the centre of Gotland’s limestone industry and was home to a shipyard. At that time, Slite was on its way to rivaling Visby as the island’s leading town. During this period, Carlsvärd Fortress was built. Bicycles and cars can be rented in the village, making it easy to explore the area's many attractions. Slite offers a range of services, including a grocery store, restaurants, fresh fish sales, a sandy beach, tennis courts, mini golf, bicycle rental, and fuel. The guest harbour has approximately 15 marked berths, all with mooring buoys, located in the north-eastern corner of the pier. Please follow the Guest Harbour signs. During the more than 15 years we have managed the guest harbour, we have always been able to accommodate everyone who wished to stay. If your vessel is over 55 feet, we kindly ask you to contact us before arrival. Avoid an additional fee of SEK 300 by paying your harbour fee within 30 minutes of arrival in a few simple steps:
